Description
This Whirlpool gas burner valve is listed under part number WPW10279615. A burner valve meters the gas flow to a burner as the control knob is turned. If you notice a burner flame that cannot be adjusted or a knob that is very hard to turn, this part is one possible cause; a blocked burner port, a dirty orifice or the gas supply can produce similar symptoms. Gas parts should be installed by a qualified technician; confirm the part number for your model and gas type.
